Bessemerskolan has about 1000 students distributed across 12 programs. The school is a national sports gymnasium for orienteering and has two nationally approved sports education programs in floorball and bandy. Our educational programs are housed in nice and functional premises, and there is a large and modern school library. You have easy access to buses and are within walking distance to the center. We are looking for someone who wants to work at a school that is in the midst of exciting development work, where teaching is the focus.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Our school librarian needs a new colleague, so we are looking for an engaged and knowledgeable school librarian for our school library at Bessemerskolan. As a school librarian, you will play an important role in supporting students' learning and promoting reading and information literacy. Our library was awarded "School Library of the Year" in 2018 and has received the "A World-Class School Library" award 5 times. It is a pleasant and spacious library, with study areas, a smaller auditorium, and small gathering rooms, as well as a Makerspace for creation and creativity.

Job Duties:

• Be responsible for the daily operations of the school library
• Assist students and teachers with information searches and literature selection
• Organize and conduct reading promotion activities and events
• Maintain and develop the library's collections
• Collaborate with the school's staff to integrate the library's resources into teaching

QUALIFICATIONS

• Librarian education or equivalent experience
• Good knowledge of information retrieval (MIK) and literature as well as AI
• Experience working with children and youth
• Creative and proactive
• Good collaboration and communication skills

Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and your experience.
